Political Intelligence™
In 1998 our clients advised us that their performance was suffering as a result of the effect of organisational politics. To provide the answer we have designed a diagnostic process, development tracks and skill building processes to help individuals, teams and organisations manage this aspect of organisational life.
Our one-day workshop, “positive organisational politics” emphasises the upsides of managing politics and provides delegates with an understanding of what politics is and what type of political animals exist in today’s workplace, together with strategies on how to manage.
Here is some further information…
The subject that no organisation is prepared to discuss and yet most will acknowledge is part of the way they get things done! One problem is that the negatives are often more easily recognised than the positives. Additionally, one person's positive manoeuvre is seen as another's devious manipulation. Some companies unwittingly even stimulate politicking by implementing processes that cause internal competition for resources, budgets, recognition, etc. Research is showing that the ability to manage organisational politics is one of the top skills needed by all staff in organisations.
The workshop will provide clarity on exactly what politics is and will provide a plan for action back in the workplace. A pragmatic model is used to identify the corporate animals at large in all organisations and by examining motives, behaviours and constructive responses it becomes possible to create a more positive political culture in your company.
